Ferrous Team - Week 11


Completed this week:

  • Audio
    • Added new sound track to all levels
    • Updated menu music
    • Changed push/pull sound effects and also added a looping sound
    • Updated the door opening sound effects
  • Implemented
    • Reworked the background menu
    • Added sound effect settings with a master volume, sfx, and music sliders
    • Fixed spawn point for the ray effect and fixed an animation issue
    • Fixed all glitches, random gaps, and inconsistencies in the linked block level environment
    • Updated the second last level in linked blocks level (maze level) to utilize the lower maze as part of the puzzle so that the player must utilize both blocks to climb to the last level
    • Updated last level in the linked blocks level to make it way less frustrating and repetitive
    • Added new textures to levels
    • Added a secondary camera view to make two room puzzles easier to complete
    • Updated poorly placed tooltips in the levels
    • Fixed the issue where the power block level would soft lock because the block would move in the wrong direction
    • Fixed an issue where the ray would randomly shoot out to a random direction
    • Movement changes to jump physics. Also added coyote time to make jumps more forgiving for the player.
    • Added a cutscene at the start of the game for an added touch of story
  • Art:
    • Got a new itch.io title screen
    • Redesigned the old game menu background to a newer much more creative design
